Twenty years later, the fashion world has changed so much that even Miranda Priestly herself is feeling the ground shift beneath her feet. The sequel to " The Devil Wears Prada " is now a reality, and the trailer has made it clear that it's not just a simple exercise in nostalgia; it's a full-blown revenge. The plot takes place on Runway during a paper crisis, where Miranda ( Meryl Streep ) is forced to ask for help from the only person who can save her empire: Emily Charlton ( Emily Blunt ), who is now a successful executive at a giant luxury group.

The best thing about this return isn't just seeing Meryl Streep again with that freezing gaze, but the shift in dynamics. Emily is no longer the long-suffering assistant, but the one in charge, while Andy ( Anne Hathaway ) reappears with a solid career in the digital world. But, obviously, none of this would make sense without Nigel ( Stanley Tucci ); our favorite man returns as the unwavering ally (and sometimes the only sane one) trying to keep Miranda's sanity afloat as everything falls apart.

All of this unfolds to the rhythm of Lady Gaga and Doechii's " Runway ," which plays in the trailer as the definitive anthem of this new era, lending an epic and sophisticated air to every scene. Filmed in New York and Milan, and featuring stars like Lucy Liu and Simone Ashley, the film promises to be the cinematic event of 2026.

It premieres on April 30th (May 1st in the United States) and, judging by the trailers, the knives are going to be sharper than ever.
